MANIFESTO
Due to the increasing pursuit of personal and party-political interest, along with corporate lobbying in Australian politics, at the expense of the people of Australia, The Compassionate Party is dedicated to instilling compassion into the way that Australian politics is conducted, and therefore in the way that policies are developed and implemented.

This is to be achieved by advocating for a process that will determine the compassionate suitability of those already engaged in, and those entering, the political arena. Psychological testing and ongoing accountability are desired aspects of this process.

In order to further our efforts, members of The Compassionate Party of Australia welcome the opportunity for community interactions and enhanced life experience through political engagement.

REQUIREMENTS:

A suitable test needs to be established that determines the compassionate compatibility for political office of candidates intending to run for a seat in parliament, as well as for those already sitting.

Core Policies / Platform
​All candidates for federal political office are required to undertake an appropriate Compassionate Compatibility Test, determined and agreed upon by experts/specialists in the field.
All sitting members of parliament must have ongoing performance reviews determining if the interests of the people of Australia are being best served through their various actions, or if special interests have benefited instead, such as their party, themselves, corporations, and so on.
(These Compassion Assessments will be determined and agreed upon by experts/specialists in the field.)
These Compatibility Tests and Performance Assessments should be non-partisan in their design and application.
ALSO:
Corporations need to pay their fair share of tax. This alone should should assist with addressing areas such as; healthcare, education, housing, environmental repair, indigenous interests, and so on.

​Compassion needs to spread throughout society, beyond the political sphere. In this regard, The Compassionate Party of Australia is open to the idea of collaboration with other political parties, business, and other community organisations, to broaden the idea of compassion in society at large.
